Course Reflection Blog
Well for my course reflection blog I am unsure what this is. But well I would say that this class wasn’t very easy. English is one class that I have never done very well in. I believe that I did my best on my projects with the time that was allotted. I thought this class was very educational because of all the different software needed for these projects. This helps to broaden my knowledge on computers.I believe I have achieved those goals needed to succeed in English. I was able to take topics I knew lots on and wrote about them. This helped me out because it allotted me to use my own personal experience to help broaden the topics. I believe that I have accomplished what was needed when taking this course. I was able to write a webtext, multimodal webtext, and record podcasts. This was a good way to help teach me more about those different software’s out there. The things this software’s can provide use to make our own website, but will need additional knowledge. My perceive shortcomings in this course was that I didn’t allot myself more time to go over and over my projects. One big issue I have is grammatical errors. I have always had this issue. I am just not good at English. But this showed me that I can change this by giving myself time to re-read projects as well as use others for help. This course was very different from all those other English courses I have taken. This course worked with computer software that was unfamiliar to me. But I could be very successful for the future. It’s a great way to broaden my outlook on different ways English can be perceived as a career in many fields. English is part of everybody’s actions. It was a good learning experience.

Reflection Blog
For my multimodal webtext I did it on the Black Belt Academy. The reason I chose Taekwondo students as my audience is because in order to become part of the Black Belt Academy they must be a member of Taekwondo. The purpose of this multimodal webtext was to inform people of the different ways Taekwondo can help improve important lifestyle changes in a person's life. That they learn so much more than just defending themselves; they learn why certain things people encounter in Taekwondo are important. The reason I chose that design for my multimodal webtext was because I feel that this color helps keep it simple instead of using a picture as a background which can be hard for the reader to read. This assignment is well suited for a Web reader because of what is out their for people to learn to help accelerate themselves. Since people use the web for so many things I think this is the best way to let people know more about what Taekwondo has to offer.
I am proud of the work I put into making this multimodal webtext. I used information that I have personally seen as well as experienced as a great way to help people make Taekwondo a better life experience. It doesn't just teach them how to defense themselves, they also learn self-discipline needed in everyday life, as well as words from the Korean language, and much more. If I had more time I would have re-read this multimodal webtext over again; I was planning on going to the writing center to help me more but their wasn't available time for me to go before the assignment was done. So I decided to try and read it as much as possible to sound better. Also I was planning on re-recording my podcast but when I was tried to re-record it I had a cold and it sounded horrible. So I just stuck with what I had. Also I changed some pictures but it wouldn't work unless I re-recorded.
I chose some of my research as personal experience from practicing Taekwondo for so many years because it helps to have a better understanding about what you are talking about. I also chose the main website for the topic which helps because it has lots to let people know more about what the Black Belt Academy is as well as how to join. I believe I chose the right sources for research with the allotted time I had to look. It seemed well written and includes all kinds of different things people with see and experience while a member of the Black Belt Academy.
I believe that this multimodal webtext included some of the most important things parents as well as those who are part of the Black Belt Academy. Also the podcast helped by showing people pictures of some of the things people will encounter in a typical class.

Overview
This course has been a little difficult since I have never used some of the software used in class. It was a challenge compared to the other english courses. So for the work I have produced I thought was a great experience to remind me of the things that Taekwondo offers and that are unnoticeable when practicing for many years. It just becomes part of your everyday routine.

UPDATE ABOUT PODCAST SLIDESHOW
I AM ALMOST DONE WITH MY MULTIMODAL WEBTEXT, I JUST HAVE TO CHECK THE GRAMATICAL ERRORS AND FIX UP SOME SENTENCES. BUT I ALSO HAVE BEEN WORKING ON MY PODCAST SLIDESHOW I FEEL IT NEEDS ANOTHER DRAFT OR TWO BEFORE IT IS COMPLETELY DONE. BUT I FEEL I AM WORKING TOWARDS THE RIGHT TRACK. I AM DOING MY PODCAST SLIDESHOW ON THE DIFFERENT THINGS PEOPLE WILL ENCOUNTER IN A TYPICAL TAEKWONDO CLASS. AND MY MULTIMODAL WEBTEXT ON A SPECIFIC PROGRAM TAEKWONDO OFFERS WHICH IS THE BLACK BELT ACADEMY.

Topic For Final Project
I plan on doing my multimodal webtext on one association available to Taekwondo students. It will be the Black Belt Academy. Two concepts to consider important are positive mental attitude and high goal setting. Also I was going to list all the etiquettes that people need to be taken into consideration as a student. It’s the starting point in making them a better future. For my podcast slideshow I was going to do it on the different things that will be encountered in a class like the flags, what patches are on the uniforms, and more.
Reflection Blog on Podcast
I had done my podcast on how Taekwondo is a better form of exercise than just regular exercise. The purpose of this podcast was to let people know their is some fun as well as challenge for someone to do with their friends or family. Its better than just doing the same routine over and over again. They always learn something new. I think it is well organized because I talk about what regular exercise offers and then what Taekwondo will offer. I think this topic is well suited for a web reader because it contrasts what regular exercise offers as well as what Taekwondo offers. It’s a topic lots of people have a hard time deciding what to do. They both cost people a monthly fee. But people need to choose something they feel as a exercise that sparks their personal interests. I’m proud of the way it turned out. It would be very resourceful for those contemplating what to do. If I had more time I would have gone more into depth about specific examples. If I had more technical knowledge I would have added music to my podcast. I had a good song to go with it, its called “Eye of the Tiger.” It would get people pumped up. I had little research because I just took from my own personal experience. I could have researched more about what are the popular exercised that they each have to offer.
I should have had put more facts about this topic. Its such a broad topic that there is so much I could have added. I just didn’t have the time to do so. So this podcast could have been great instead of just good. This topic is an important aspect for everyone to consider because exercise is a key to staying healthy.

Podcast Topic
I am doing my podcast on how practicing Taekwondo can improve your health. Here are a couple of things I will be talking about. It helps you mentally, physically, and socially. Well mentally it helps you improve your memory, since you have to remember forms as well as one-steps. As physically its a good form of exercise, stretching, and helps improve circulation. And finally socially you interact with people from around the world. This is just somethings i will be podcasting about.

Reflection Blog on Webtext
The reason I had choose Taekwondo was because I believe it is a great way for people who want a form of self-acceptance as well as respect for yourself. I choose my audience to be anyone from the age of 2 to elderly, because its a great way for a child as well as a adult to become more self-disciplined. I believe its a great way for parents to help their children become more respectful towards there peers as well as adults. The purpose was to inform people that their is a sport out their for the whole family to join in and find to be a fun way for them to learn something new and exciting. I'm proud of how many different things Taekwondo has to offer to be in my webtext, butI feel that I could have added more than what was present. I should have also talked about what you have to do to encounter the next belt level you will accomplished by learning a form, one-steps, sparring, board breaking, and much more at each belt level. Also that there is an way for you to go around to other states and compete in tournaments to feel that you have accomplished something. As well as seeing their are people of all ages and sizes. I could have also added some personal experience into the mix as well as what others thing of the topic. I feel that Taekwondo is a fun sport to do with your family as well as friends because it helps build a form of respect for yourself. Its a good thing I believe for women because of harrasement is a big issue now adays and learning to defend yourself makes you feel slightly more aware of avoiding these types of situations.

8/27/08 Internet reading and Webtext
The reading my partner and I had to do on Indiana Jones was not an interest to me, since i have never watched anyone of his movies. The topic I would like to do my webtext on is how Taekwondo is a great form of self-defense.
